Winter Wedding Ritz Carlton Philadelphia
Our beautiful bride Tally had always dreamed of a winter wonderland wedding, and we were so pleased to help bring her vision to life this past January when she wed her one and only, Joey, at the Ritz Carlton in Philadelphia. These two former coworkers (and undercover lovers!) exchanged I dos one day after we rang in the new year in Philadelphia. Below, I have included a few of favorite moments from the day, as captured by our very talented friend, Tina Jay Photography.
To create a winter wonderland feeling (without entering the realm of Disney!) we worked in a subtle palette of winter whites, silver and navy. I am still swooning over Tally’s winter white bridal bouquet crafted by Kerry of Fabuloras. The bouquet featured a mix of classic, romantic blooms like vendella roses, calla lilies, hydrangeas and tulips. I love how the dusty miller added just a touch of silvery green and added dimension.
Joey beamed in his custom tux and navy bowtie from Commonwealth Proper, and we had so much fun finding holiday backdrops around the Ritz Carlton for Tally & Joey’s wedding portraits. With Tally keeping warm in her BHLDN shrug, the Truly You team led by Christine Melaugh walked with Tally, Joey and Tina to the iconic Christmas tree set up at City Hall and the Christmas Village pop up in Love Park. Although the wedding day was as chilly as we expected, we were super lucky not to have any major snow in the forecast.
Nevertheless, we worked in a few sparkling, snowy wedding details like the ceremony string lighting backdrop with layers of white organza and the glittering snow covered wedding cake. The wedding invitations and wedding day paper featured shining silver foil fonts and the floral centerpieces featured all white winter blooms. For a final treat, guests were gifted with custom cookies featuring a snowy white edible sugar border and warm hot chocolate- the perfect late night snack for a cold winter’s night!
