When we started planning the wedding Mary and Tom knew that they wanted to host an affair that really reflected them as a couple- something that would feel effortless and elegant and really put an emphasis on those that mean most to them. So we started to dream up a wedding that felt close to home, literally. The ceremony would take place in Mary’s home parish, on the Villanova campus where Tom works, and the reception would be held in the backyard of Mary’s family home.

Over the years they were friends but it wasn’t until Molly was living in Connecticut and Matt was living in Manhattan that the two started seeing each other. Once they were together It didn’t take long to realize they wanted to make it permanent. Just 14 months after that first date, Matt got down on one knee on the art museum steps during a Christmas light tour, while Molly’s grandfather hid to take pictures. Afterwards, Matt surprised Molly with an engagement celebration at Continental Midtown with all their friends and family.

Megan grew up visiting Cape May with her family every summer. Once she met Jimmy while they were both at Loyola University, these yearly trips became a part of their tradition as well. After Jimmy’s spectacular 4h of July proposal the two knew they’d be married in that very spot the following summer.

Which just goes to show you that you never know when you’re going to stumble, (or swipe) across the love of your life. Six years after their initial connection, after attending the Philadelphia Orchestra’s holiday concert, Andrew insisted on taking a walk to Rittenhouse square, which Joey found strange given it was sleeting and freezing cold outside. Although they were both finishing their respective residencies in Houston when they got engaged, they knew they wanted to return to the city of brotherly love for the big day. So we got to planning a springtime fête in Philly! Along the way there were lots of changes due to covid, but our couple stayed positive, flexible, and focused and in the end it all paid off. They were able to celebrate with all their friends and family at the Barnes Foundation, outdoors on the West Terrace to be extra covid friendly.
Not a creature was stirring... except Philly’s favorite crazy-eyed mascot?! That’s right, ladies and gents. Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty crashed Caitlin and Sean’s December wedding reception at Manufacturers’ Golf & Country Club. After a beautiful ceremony at St. Mary Magdalen guests were just starting to party when Gritty arrived to the reception rocking his Santa suit. The crowd went wild as Gritty entertained them with his dance moves. It was truly a Christmas miracle for this room full of die hard Flyers fans!
