An Elegant Autumn Wedding at Radnor Hunt

Molly and Matt met through mutual friends a decade before their first date. Over the years they were friends but it wasn’t until Molly was living in Connecticut and Matt was living in Manhattan that the two started seeing each other. Once they were together It didn’t take long to realize they wanted to make it permanent. Just 14 months after that first date, Matt got down on one knee on the art museum steps during a Christmas light tour, while Molly’s grandfather hid to take pictures. Afterwards, Matt surprised Molly with an engagement celebration at Continental Midtown with all their friends and family.

Shortly after they got engaged the pair started planning for a fall wedding. Radnor Hunt was a natural choice for the reception as the club is halfway between their parents' houses and a place where they’d met over the years to watch the sunset and visit the horses. The beautiful green landscape became the source of inspiration for the design of the day.

On the wedding day Molly and her bridesmaids got glammed up with makeup by Carly G. and hair by Amanda D’Andrea Hair before the bride slipped on her stunning lace Carolina Herrera dress and we headed to St. Mary Magdalen. All the bride and groom’s nieces and nephews participated in the ceremony in some way making it an extra special family affair.

Once we got our couple married it was time to head over to Radnor Hunt for the reception! After cocktail hour in the club guests walked through a stunning floral bedecked arch into a sailcloth tent that had been completely transformed with florals by Valley Forge Flowers and Lighting by Eventions Productions. The Groove Shop kept the party dancing while J Scott catering wined and dined us. Just when we thought the night couldn’t get any better? A surprise delivery from Shake Shack appeared, (a treat Molly arranged just for Matt!) along with an ice cream bar and pumpkin cake by Sophisticakes.
